Make USB Bootable Windows 7

This post is specially for the users of Mini Laptops, Net-books, Wireless Tabs, etc. meaning thereby all the computers without the CD-ROM Drive attached to it. They always wonder how would they refresh the Windows from their system if they had to. Well here's the solution, all you need to have is a 4GB USB or more and preferably of 8GB, and you can easily install the Windows to your system without using any external CD-ROM Drive, by making your Windows 7 Bootable USB.

Here's the easy procedure:

1. As mentioned before, you need to have a USB of 4GB or more.

2. Download a copy of Windows 7 from any torrent website, they are now easily available.

3. Once downloaded, Mount your Windows 7 Setup into the Virtual Drive using Daemon Tools Lite or any other Virtual CD program that you use.

4. When the drive is properly mounted, connect your 4GB or more USB to your PC.

5. Goto the Start>Run (Press Win Key+R) and type diskpart. A Dos Prompt like Window will open.

6. In that window, type List Disk. and all the Hard Disk attached to your PC will be shown to you. The 4GB USB which you are using will show 3935MB approx in the Size.

7. Now type Select Disk 1, or whatever number is there shown before your USB Drive. It'll say Disk 1 is now selected.

8. Then type, Clean. It will say Diskpart succeeded in cleaning the disk.

9. Then type, Create Partition Primary. It will say  Diskpart succeeded in creating the specified partition.

10. Then type, Active. It will say Diskpart marked the current partition as active.

11. Then type, format fs=fat32 quick, it will started formatting until it goes to 100%. It the quick formatting doesn't work try normal format i.e. format fs=fat32, which might take some time. And then it says DiskPart successfully formatted the volume.

12. Then type assign, and that's it. your usb is now bootable.

13. Copy all the files in the Virtual CD drive of Windows 7 to the root directory of USB drive and Safely Remove the USB Drive From your System. Now you can install the Windows 7 to any System. Just make sure that you have opted to make USB Drive Bootable from your system's BIOS.
